In the Somatic Session 4-Module Series, I've distilled two decades of experience into a dynamic exploration of 'bottom-up' direct experiences, and offer simple, ethical, and effective tools to address trauma, pain, grief, stress, recovery, and holistic mental well-being.

Since 2005, I've taught therapists, coaches, and wellness experts of all kinds how to bring the body into their client sessions. This is a PRACTICUM rather than THEORY course. We will practice the tools to explore what is most effective for both in-person and online sessions, whether you are new to this, or already somatically inclined.

This module lays the groundwork for the series by introducing dynamic somatic
S. P. A. C. E.

Practitioners begin by exploring the relationship with their own physical body as the base to unleash the therapeutic potential of consensual touch, movement and proprioceptive proximity.

Module 2: Explore the Body

Move Toward
Direct Experience

This module uncovers how to work with clients to bridge the gap between their past and their future, and to integrate experiences from both into the present. Therapists will learn how to better "get" client’s narrative stories as it presents interoceptively in the body in order to shift REACTION to RESPONSE.

This module provides an overview of the western neuroscience and eastern philosophies that can be used to guide a holistic Mind-Body approach to therapeutic practice. Therapists will gain an understanding of how to apply these theories to grievances like pain, trauma, loss, anxiety, in an effective way that is appropriate for the client in that specific moment of experience.

As we complete the series, this module focuses on how to move from the insights found in embodied direct experience to actions (not re-actions) that lead to lasting change through self-empowered at-home practices.
